SWAP PARTY

Kraine Gallery returns after its summer hiatus with its first ever Swap Party.
Build your art collection by swapping art!

Swap Party invites you to join us for cocktails and encourages you to
trade a work of art for a work of art.

Leave a Piece, Take a Piece: A NO Negotiation Trading Space will take
place in Kraine Gallery. You are invited to hang your work in the
gallery for the duration of the Swap Party. There will be nails in the gallery
walls ready for you to hang your piece. Kraine Gallery will supply push pins,
double sided mounting tape, string and binder clips.
We suggest hanging work with an estimated maximum value of $100.00.
Please follow the honor system, only taking as many as you leave. And
be sure to leave your contact information on the backside of the
artwork.

KGB Bar (not the Gallery) will be a trading and networking
environment. Tables are available for you to display your work on as
needed. If your artwork is visible it will be assumed you are open to
negotiate an exchange, you can accept offers or reject them. Terms of
negotiation are left to individual artists discretion. Please be
modest and professional; this is not a flea market or craft fair.
Kraine Gallery is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged works
of art. Please package your artwork in a way that it may travel safely and
be presentation ready (e.g. a petite portfolio, presentation box, a folder,
photo album, cardboard sandwich, envelopes, paper bags, and any other
reasonable packaging solution.).

If you have any questions about the event please contact Kraine Gallery
at krainegallery@gmail.com.

This group show features new work created by an inventive group of emerging artists from the New York Academy of Art. Inspired by their impending graduation and their prophetic visual abilities, this “Masterful” grouping of work presents a view of the world that is as uncertain and unsettling as the very careers these artists are beginning.

Opening a mere two days before commencement, please join us as we celebrate these graduates’ first uncertain step out of academia into the cold, unfaithful, and unforgiving world.
